One of our favorite stones is called Rainforest Granite, which is quarried in India  It comes in both Brown and Green and is very rich looking with lots of depth of color and variation in veining. It has the look of marble but is actually a serpentine granite. Although it is very durable, it can lose its sheen over time.

We recently had a client contact us to restore his Rainforest Brown kitchen island and countertops  and bring the stone to a high polish.  We recommended using Clearstone Coating with its 10-year warranty against etching and staining. The coating also creates a barrier to prevent bacteria from getting into the stone which is a really desirable attribute for many homeowners with natural stone kitchen surfaces.

The client was thrilled with the results and so were we!!
