A little Beacon Hill in Portland, Maine

Sep 27, 2017

Home 9 Historic 9 A little Beacon Hill in Portland, Maine

At Boston Stone Restoration we are used to the intricacies and joys of restoring the 19th-century marble floors and foyers popular in the gilded age. We’ve been working in Boston’s Back Bay and Beacon Hill for decades. So how could we resist when our friends at Portland Stone Restoration invited us to help work on this stunning Portland, Maine property?

This black and white marble foyer had been well loved for years (code for the marble was really scratched up and dull). After some prep and a solid few days of work, the floor looks better than the day it was installed. Thank you, Portland Stone Restoration for including us on this cool project.
