This unusual combination of Vermont green slate and white limestone was in dire need of cleaning and polishing. We had previously worked on this floor in 2015 and it is perfect example of why bi-annual or annual maintenance is a good idea. After 3 years of general traffic and New England winter traffic it was ready to be spruced up.
The challenging part is that slate is hard to diamond polish to bring back a shine. We polished it to remove scratches but needed to use one of our special coatings to get it to pop.
Fortunately, we have lots of tricks up our sleeves and the product we used is called ULTRAFLOR®, by Diamatic®. Once applied we burnished the surface with a floor burnisher to POP! The finished product looks fantastic!
