DEFINITION: Caulk cleaning is the process of removing dirt, mold, mildew, and other debris from caulking joints and seams, such as those found around a bathtub, shower, or sink. Caulking is a flexible, waterproof material that is used to seal joints and seams between two surfaces, preventing moisture from penetrating and causing damage.

Over time, caulking can become dirty, discolored, or infested with mold and mildew, which can detract from the appearance of the area and may reduce the effectiveness of the caulking in preventing moisture infiltration.
