Meet our team!

Oct 8, 2020

Here at Boston Stone Restoration we feel like a family. We have a fabulous crew of technicians who work hard at their craft and take great pride in their work.

When you connect with Boston Stone Restoration, you’ll likely speak to one of these great folks, so we’d like to share a little more about them:

Charlie Roderick, our crew chief has just celebrated his 10th anniversary with the company. Although he is quiet we know there is a fun side to Charlie! When Charlie is not working he likes to cook, hunt, watch football and travel to Maine. He was also a State Champion wrestler in High School! Charlie’s favorite part of the job is watching the transition from start of a job to the end. Seeing the change in the stone is very rewarding!

Technician Kenny Ortiz loves that his job is different every day, and he loves making clients happy. He specializes in applying our MORE anti-etch coating. In his free time he likes to spend time with his family, camping and playing basketball.

Technician Donald Whitney, has over 25 years experience in stone fabrication. He brought that advanced knowledge of all stone types to us and has used that experience to become a terrific technician. Donald’s hobbies include fishing, boating and he loves to visit Cape Cod. His favorite part of the job is seeing different types of home design and architecture.

Technician Keenan Brennan has a background in foodservice and was ready to try a new trade. In his free time he like to skateboard and go fishing. His favorite thing about his job is seeing the finished product and having good coworkers.

Ed Calabritto, General Manager of Operations, comes to Boston Stone Restoration after a 20-year long career as a journeyman/foreman marble mason for the Bricklayers and allied craftsmen local 3 Boston. During his time with BAC Ed worked in every aspect of stone on many of Boston’s most notable landmarks such as Rowes Wharf and the Four Seasons Hotel. In his free time he enjoys working on cars, gardening, skateboarding with his kids, camping with the family and getting plenty of beach time in when he can, His guilty pleasure hobby is DJing dance music.

Sam is our summer intern. He attends the University of Michigan where he is majors in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. He has worked closely with Paul on company culture and well as helping us with ideas on business strategy during the Covid crisis.

Jillian, is our nurse consultant ,and has advised us on many health and safety issues during the Covid 19 crisis. She is an RN at Mass General Hospital. Favorite hobbies are yoga, travel and going to the beach!

Melissa Bunis, Owner/ Office Manager, has a background in food service and catering where she honed her customer service skills.  Her favorite sport to watch is football, and in her free time she likes to cook, read and travel.  She and Paul have owned Boston Stone Restoration together since 2006. “Our skill sets really compliment each other”

Paul Bunis, Owner. After 15 years of owning a residential cleaning and carpet cleaning company, Paul discovered stone restoration. It quickly became a passion, as it combined his love for history with his attention to detail. He has fine tuned this craft over the years and in turn trained all our technicians to do the same.  He loves to be with his family, grilling or watching football. His is originally from NJ and is a huge Bruce Springsteen fan. He and Melissa have been working together since 1997 and consider Boston Stone Restoration to be their third child!
