We are so excited about a project we are working on in Newport, RI this month. The Belcourt Castle has been recently purchased and is being renovated for use as a conference and events facility. We are honored to have been chosen to restore the marble and stone in this grand mansion.

There are several areas that we will be working on.  The first project is the area where the coaches once delivered guests to attend events in the Grand Ballroom.  The flooring consists of pavers made of terrazzo and asphalt. This area is going to be used as a catering kitchen going forward and the rough uneven surface of the pavers would be very difficult to keep clean.  Our crew at Boston Stone Restoration, ground down the surface of the floor to create an even finish, and then applied a slip resistant sealer that not only enhances the look, but will be safe and easy to clean going forward.  Later in the month we will be working on the Grand Ballroom floor!  We can’t wait!
