We recently completed a multiple day stone restoration and renovation project at One Citizens Bank Plaza in Providence, RI.
One Citizens Plaza is a 13-story office building in Providence, Rhode Island that overlooks the confluence of the Moshassuck and Woonasquatucket Rivers. The building is home to Citizens Bank and stands at 180 feet tall, making it tied for the 13th tallest building in Providence.
The building was designed by Jung/Brannen Associates and Robinson Green Beretta Architects and was completed in 1991. It was the first new high-rise built in Providence in over a decade and has been an iconic part of the cityscape ever since.
The building has a beautiful rotunda floor that had holes and damage to the marble. The marble in the rotunda is Rojo, Emperador Dark and Crema Marfil with full project covering about 2000 square foot of natural stone.
Voids were filled and diamond honed to remove any damage. Once this process was complete, the floor was polished to a high shine and resealed. This project took multiple days during the week and weekend in order accommodate and avoid interference with the hours of beautiful Cafe Nuovo.
